Referral programme terms

Exactly how commission is earned, confirmed and paid. No small print.

Last updated 2 October 2026

What you earn

  • 25p for every confirmed hour worked by each person you refer.
  • £10.00 when a person you refer completes their first shift.
  • You earn only from people you refer directly, not from people they refer.

It is free to take part. Nobody pays to join and you only earn from real hours worked.

What counts as a referral

A referral counts when someone new to Squadvine signs up with your link or code, is hired by a company on the platform and works confirmed hours. You cannot refer yourself, and each officer can only have one referrer.

How long you earn

You earn commission on each referral for 12 months, starting from their first confirmed shift.

From pending to paid

  • Pending: your referral has worked and the company has logged the hours.
  • Confirmed: the hours are confirmed and your commission is locked in.
  • Paid: the money has been sent to your bank account.

When and how you are paid

  • Payouts are made on the 2nd of every month.
  • You are paid once your confirmed commission reaches £500.
  • If your confirmed balance is under £500, it rolls over and is paid on the 2nd of the first month it reaches £500.
  • We pay by bank transfer to the UK bank account saved in your profile. The account must be in your name.

Make sure your bank details are saved and correct before the payout date. You are responsible for any tax due on what you earn.

When commission is not paid

  • Hours that are corrected or rejected by the company do not earn commission.
  • Fake accounts, self-referrals, made-up hours or any attempt to cheat the programme lose all commission and can lead to the account being closed.
  • If you delete your account, commission that has not been paid by then is not paid out.

Changes to the programme

We may change rates or rules in future. We will tell you before a change takes effect, and it will not reduce commission you have already had confirmed.
